Iraq to take relevant actions to open embassy in Armenia soon

On November 3, Armenian Ambassador to Iraq Murad Muradyan handed over the copy of credentials to Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari.

Congratulating the Ambassador on his appointment, the Iraqi Foreign Minister hailed Armenia’s decision to establish its embassy in Iraq.

Hoshyar Zebari noted that Iraq will take relevant actions to open its embassy in Armenia soon.

The parties discussed matters of mutual interest, stressing the necessity of creation of a legal-contractual basis, what will allow expanding cooperation in trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian fields.

The Iraqi Foreign Minister expressed hope that the Armenian Ambassador will contribute to boosting the Armenian-Iraqi friendly relations, the RA MFA press service reported.
