Remittances to Armenia decreased 3,7% in January-September 2010

Remittances at the amount of $1101,2 million were received by physical persons in Armenia in January-September 2010.

According to the Central Bank of Armenia, the figure decreased by 3,7% ($42,6 million) compared to the same period in 2009.

The largest amount of remittances were received from Russia ($752,5 million), followed by the United States ($90,7 million) and United Arab Emirates ($19,8 million).

At that, transfers to foreign countries totaled $504,4 million against $501,2 million last year.
