Elections in NKR always democratic, unlike Azerbaijan

There is a necessity of formation of the institute of army ombudsman in Armenia, according to chairman of the parliamentary committee in defense, security and interior affairs.

“Existence of such institute and adoption of the law on discipline will allow to avoid various vicious acts in the army and renounce small-minded soviet traditions,” Hrayr Karapetyan told reporters on November 8.

At that, he emphasized that despite all problems, the Armenian army is the most efficient in the region.

He also said that that the rumors on prolongation of army service from 2 to 3 years are untrue.

Commenting on the recent exchange of the bodies of the killed between Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan, Karapetyan said, “Exchanging the bodies of the killed, Azerbaijani leadership recognized Artsakh.”

As to the November 7 parliamentary election in Azerbaijan, the MP noted that “elections in Artsakh are democratic, unlike those in Azerbaijan.”
