School computerization continues in Armenia

The Armenian government has assigned the essential funds for computerization of schools, Deputy Minister of Education said.

“Computers in provincial schools are old. Unfortunately, we fall behind many countries by the level of computerization and the situation needs to be improved,” he said, adding that there are some enterprises willing to assist development of information technology in schools.

In total, the Ministry of Education was allocated AMD 700 million in 2010 to computerize schools throughout the republic.
