Kazakhstan hopes for all frozen conflicts in CIS to be resolved

Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement will be discussed at OSCE summit in Astana; serious efforts have been undertaken to that end, Kazakhstan President's Political Adviser Yermukhamet Yertysbaev stated.

“I expect certain progress as a result of the trilateral meeting between Russian, Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents. Kazakhstan has been maintaining close relations with both Baku and Yerevan, so we’re seriously concerned over the frozen conflict,” he said.

“I hope for all frozen conflicts on CIS territory to be resolved, as constant confrontation between the neighboring countries is highly unproductive. I believe, Russia can play a primary role in the conflict settlement,” Russian media cited Yertysbaev as saying.
