Agreement on formation of European missile defence system will be signed at November19-20 NATO summit in Lisbon, NATO Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen stated.
NATO’s Secretary-General has confirmed that at Turkey’s insistence, the alliance will not identify Iran as a threat requiring the deployment of a NATO-wide missile defence umbrella in Europe.
As Rasmussen noted, cooperation in missile defence sector, envisaging interaction between the two parties, will be discussed at Russia-NATO summit due November 20, dpa reported.
