Ashot Yegiazaryan to interact with Russian investigators through American attorneys

State Duma member Ashot Yegiazaryan, deprived of immunity in the beginning of November, requested investigatory agencies of Russia to contact his American attorneys.

“Yegiazaryan gave the interrogation at the Investigation Committee a miss, explaining the reasons for his absence in a letter addressed to the Committee,” Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR) press service reported.

The legislators received his letters, in which Yegiazaryan informed that he was abroad and explained that he had left the country because he feared for his life and his relatives' lives.

The Investigation Committee's main investigation department has opened a criminal case against the State Duma deputy suspected of committing a crime of massive fraud (Article 159, Part 4, the Russian criminal Code).
