Armenia most liberal CIS country for business

Despite the global economic crisis, Ashtarak-based ARTFOOD cannery has implemented all projects planned.

According to ARTFOOD President Sergo Karapetyan, Armenia did not suffer from crisis much, but certain recession was registered.

“This year, ARTFOOD put into operation a new workshop for production of Amare natural juices. Over 2 million euro was invested for the purpose,” Karapetyan said. “We are trying to boost production volumes, although the year was not favorable for Armenian agriculture.”

As to the laws operating in the country, he said they are liberal enough as compared to those of other CIS member countries.

“Not laws but their executors are bad,” Karapetyan said.
