Robert Simmons: NATO interested in resolution of conflicts in South Caucasus

Special Representative of NATO Secretary General for the South Caucasus and Central Asia Robert Simmons said that NATO is interested in resolution of conflicts in the region and supports political negotiations to this end.

"The alliance's Lisbon summit fixed that the conflicts in South Caucasus should be resolved in the framework of the territorial integrity of states," Simmons said during discussions with participation of Azerbaijani, Georgian and Armenian public figures at NATO headquarters in Brussels.

The discussions were held as part of the policy of NATO's cooperation with the South Caucasian countries in public diplomacy, Trend News reported.
