Vahram Atanesyan: Aliyev’s statements prove diplomatic illiteracy of MGIMO graduate

Chairman of the Nagorno Karabakh parliamentary commission on foreign affairs Vahram Atanesyan said that relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan have strained since Ilham Aliyev came to power.

As to Aliyev’s comments about aversion to Turkish PM Ergodan, Atanesyan noted that relations between Baku and Ankara are not so radiant as it may seem.

“One of the facts evidencing problems is inability to cancel visa requirements,” he told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

Commenting on Aliyev’s confession of tense relations with Iran, he said, “Baku has a manic aim to persuade Iran to close the border with Armenia. Iran’s refusal to do so arouses Baku’s indignation.”

Attanesyan ironically added that Aliyev’s statements prove diplomatic illiteracy of MGIMO (Moscow State Institute of International Relations) graduate.
