1.6% inflation rate recorded in Armenia’s consumer market in November 2010

The National Statistical Service reported that 1.6% inflation rate was recorded in Armenia's consumer market in November compared to October 2010. The inflation is basically conditioned by 3.1% growth in prices for foodstuff (including alcoholic beverages and cigarettes.)

The prices for non-foods grew by 0.5%. Besides, 0.3% growth was recorded in tariffs for services during the reporting period.

The index of consumer prices made 109.6% in November 2010 as compared with the same period in 2009.

The index of prices for foodstuff (including alcoholic beverages and cigarettes) amounted to 113.9%, non-foods – 105.5%, services - 104.6%.

In January-November 2010, the index of consumer prices made 108.1% compared to the same period in 2009, including the index of prices for foodstuff – 108.1%, non-foods - 110.1%, services – 107.0%.
