CIS leaders to adopt 2010-2015 military cooperation concept

CIS leaders will adopt a 2010-2015 military cooperation concept for CIS countries at the forthcoming summit, Chief of the Russian General Staff, Army Gen. Nikolai Makarov said at the meeting of the CIS Committee of Chiefs of Staff on December 3.

"This important document will define a common vision for the CIS on armed forces and cooperation development, also establishing our priorities," Makarov said.

He added that the importance of this document is determined by the fact that it should take into account the interests of each state individually in the interests of the community, Trend reported.

“The document, created with a view of considering the individual interests of every CIS state, aims to strengthen military cooperation between the CIS countries,” Makarov said.
