NATO hopes for further progress in relations with Armenia

On December 3, NATO Deputy Secretary General, Claudio Bisogniero met with Armenia’s representative to NATO Samvel Mkrtchyan, who is completing his diplomatic mission.

The two men gave high assessment to Armenia-NATO cooperation over the past years, expressing hope for their further progress.

They also focused on Lisbon summit results, implementation of agreements reached, development of NATO–Russia ties, as well as Armenia’s involvement in ISAF, the NATO-led security mission in Afghanistan.

In conclusion, Mkrtchyan briefed NATO Deputy Secretary General on latest developments in Karabakh talks in the light of OSCE summit in Astana, Armenian Foreign Ministry press service reported.
