Armenian banks’ credit investments total AMD 883.9bln as of end of October

The total amount of credit investments of Armenia’s banks totaled AMD 883.9bln as of the end of October, increasing by 3.1% (AMD 26.9bln) compared to September 2010.

AMD 841.4bln was provided to the country’s residents; AMD 42.5bln was extended to non-residents, according to the monthly bulletin of the Central Bank of Armenia.

AMD loans totaled 42.9%, while foreign currency loans amounted to 57.1%.

Major part of the provided loans to residents was in the field of industry - AMD 182.7bln, followed by trade – AMD 178.4bln, consumer loans - AMD 150.4bln, mortgage loans - AMD 85.1bln and construction loans - AMD 68bln. Besides, the amount of agricultural loans totaled AMD 48bln as of the end of October 2010, while lending of the service field amounted to AMD 37.6bln and transport and communication field - AMD 25.5bln.
