Nairit looking for funds to pay employees’ salaries

The management of Nairit chemical plant is actively seeking for funds to pay the employees’ salaries, the company’s press service told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, without naming possible sources.

However, the plant representatives refrained from commenting on the possibility of obtaining a loan from EurAsEC anti-crisis fund.

Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said that the investment program of Nairit chemical plant is estimated to make $150-300mln. The program has been submitted to EurAsEC anti-crisis fund, while the final decision on its implementation will be adopted until the end of 2010.

On November 18, Nairit Plant CJSC paid one-month salaries to its employees, as per the November 12 instruction of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan. Under the instruction, the plant leadership discussed the current situation with representatives of the executive power. After the payment of one-month salaries, measures are taken for payment of the entire sum within a month.
