Nairit plant management threatens to fire employees in case of strike

Employees of Nairit chemical plant, who have not been paid their salaries for three months, were planning to go on strike on Monday, December 13.

However, as an unofficial source told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, the plant management threatened the employees with discharge and pledged to pay the salary for September and October on December 15 and the salary for November in a week.

Earlier, Nairit management was reported to actively seek for funds to pay the employees’ salaries. On November 18, the plant paid one-month salaries to its employees, as per the November 12 instruction of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan. Under the instruction, the plant leadership discussed the current situation with representatives of the executive power. After the payment of one-month salaries, measures are taken for payment of the entire sum within a month.
