Marat Atovmyan: Armenia is not a poor country but it has ineffective social management system

Armenia is not a poor country, rather, one with an ineffective social management system, according to the head of the Advocacy and Assistance Centers (AACs) in Yerevan, Marat Atovmyan.

As he noted, the Center introduced specific offers for reduction of corruption risks in 4 vulnerable sectors of Armenian economy: social services, implementation of legal acts, registering of civil acts, calculation of pensions.

“Reforms suggested require simplification of mechanisms to reduce corruption risks in sectors indicated. Other reforms apply to simplification of procedures for provision of social benefits,” he said.

Also, Atovmyan suggested posting a form for needy families at the website of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs for every person to be able to calculate the allowance sum.
