Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received newly appointed head of IMF mission in Armenia Mark Horton.

Guillermo Tolosa, IMF Resident Representative in Armenia, also participated in the meeting.

The parties praised the results of IMF-Armenia cooperation, the RA governmental press service reported.

They referred to the three-year program of long-term financing and long-term lending implemented by the IMF jointly with Armenia’s government, as well as to basic directions of economic policy and actions aimed at Armenia’s economy development.

Specifically, tax-budgetary policy, problems related to inflation, as well as outlooks for the country’s economic development were in the focus of the meeting.

The IMF representatives reaffirmed the international structure’s willingness to assist in implementation of governmental programs.
