Armenia, EU intend to launch negotiations on free trade

Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received Gunnar Wiegand, European Commission’s Director for Eastern Europe, South Caucasus and Central Asia, who is in Yerevan to participate in the third meeting on the EU-Armenia Association Agreement.

Wiegand briefed the Prime Minister on the process of negotiations and achieved results.

The parties stressed the importance of the EU-Armenia deep and comprehensive free trade agreement and presented their views on the launch of negotiations in this direction.

Tigran Sargsyan briefed for his part on the reforms implemented in Armenia.
