Hurriyet: Turkey seeks Greek lobby’s support

Having lost the support of the Jewish lobby, Turkey faces serious problems in the U.S. Congress.

Armenian and Greek lobbying forces are traditionally united in the Congress against Turkey. Now, when they are joined by the Jewish lobby, the Turkish-American relations have been badly damaged, Hurriyet reported.

To great surprise, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu met with Greek lobbyists in New York.

The meeting aimed to establish neighbor relations with Greece and Greek Diaspora. Although it’s impossible to incline the Greek lobby to support Turkey in the course of one meeting, the first step has been taken, the newspaper said.
