Member of the opposition ARF Dashnaktsutyun parliamentary group Artsvik Minasyan said that the Armenian government has failed all the programs declared during its formation.

“The government has failed 22 priorities fixed in the memorandum on the coalition establishment. Besides, priority provisions of the Armenian president election program, implementation of which was planned for 2010-2012, have also been failed,” Minasyan said.

According to him, the government currently pursues an anti-demographic, anti-social and anti-competitive policy, what is reflected in the country’s budget, which does not secure increase in population’s salaries, pensions and benefits, as well as does not stimulate SME development and does not create opportunities for increasing competitiveness.

“Currently Armenia faces the crisis of economy management system that is observed in all fields – from non-efficient and unwise usage of natural resources up to adoption of incompetent state decisions,” Minasyan said.

Meanwhile, according to him, formation of a model of economy’s overall development may improve the situation, as currently the economy is based only on raw materials export.

He added that the actual employment rate should be brought to 65% instead of the current 48%.
