Lukashenko reelected Belarus President for fourth term

According to preliminary results, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko won a fourth 5-year term, gaining (79.67%) of the vote.

Lukashenko's closest rival at the elections, Andrei Sannikov was backed by 164 thousand voters (2.56%). Yaroslav Romanchuk (126.9 thousand people) got 1.97% of the votes, followed by Rygor Kastusiou (126.6 thousand of voters).

Vladimir Niakliaeu was supported by 113.7 thousand voters (1.77%), followed by Ales Michalevic - 65.5 thousand people (1.2%), Vital Rymasheuski - 70.4 thousand people (1.1%), Viktor Tereshchenko - 69 thousand (1.08%) and Nikolai Statkevich - 67 thousand (1.04%). Least of all votes (0.48%) were received by Dmitri Uss with 31 thousand Belarusians, voted for him. 6.47% of people voted against all the candidates.

The turnout at the polls at this election was 90.66% against 92.7% at the elections of 2006, telegraph.by reported.
