On December 20, Speaker of the Armenian parliament Hovik Abrahmyan met with member of the European Parliament, Permanent Rapporteur for Armenia Tomasz Poreba.

Abrahamyan praised Poreba’s visit to Armenia and Artsakh, noting that it will allow him to learn more about Armenia and the region, as well as the country’s stance on EU-Armenia relations.

Abrahamyan also attached importance to rapprochement with the EU, as well as establishment of bilateral ties with European countries.

The Speaker said that Armenia hails the Eastern Partnership program, as well as idea of Euronest establishment.

He added that Armenia will contribute to Euronest establishment.

For his part, Poreba praised Armenia’s participation in Euronest, what will allow better presentation of the country’s position, the RA NA press service reported.
