Armenia-Turkey relations will be pushed to the background in 2011, according to Armenian expert Ruben Melkonyan.

As he noted at news conference in Yerevan, in 2011 Turkey will host parliamentary elections, so no progress in normalization of ties should be expected.

However, the expert forecast possible steps to be undertaken by Turkey on April 24 Genocide Victims’ Commemoration Day to demonstrate the ongoing process of rapprochement with Armenia to the international community.
