Thijs Rommens, research fellow at the Institute for International and European Policy (IIEP) does not expect any considerable breakthrough in the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement process.

“There is tension between Azerbaijan and Armenia, the former speaking about of use of force and the latter stressing the possibility of recognition of Nagorno Karabakh as an independence state,” he said, quoted by 1news.az.

“The main question is whether the actors are interested in changing the status quo and the balance of forces on the region,” Rommens said.
