Prices for Christmas trees in Armenia vary from AMD 10 to 100 thousand, and even more.
According to a survey conducted by a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, natural fir-trees are imported and cost about AMD 60-80 thousand. Pines are less expensive, costing AMD 45-50 thousand.
“There are firs for AMD 30 thousand but they are no good,” a seller said.
Those who can’t afford a natural fir-tree can buy branches, which cost about AMD 3-10 thousand.
Cutting down and selling fir-trees before the New Year holidays is prohibited in the republic.
As to artificial firs, the choice is great: the prices start with AMD 3 thousand and reach 120 thousand.
Lights can be bought for AMD 1000-8000 thousand; toys cost AMD 500-5000 per one.
