Catholic Armenians serve Pope Benedict XVI during the Christmas mass in Vatican

For the first time over the last 50years, Catholic Armenians were given a chance to serve the Roman Pope Benedict XVI during the Christmas mass in Vatican.

On the night of December 25, the rector, vice rector, deacons and seminarists of papal board of Rome served the liturgy along with the Pope.

The Catholic parish of St. Gregory Naregatsi in Yerevan hosted a Christmas performance to celebrate the holiday. Catholic Armenians celebrate the Nativity of Christ on December 25; the Epiphany is marked on January 6, when the Armenian Apostolic church celebrates the Christmas, Blagovest Info reported.
