Armenian psychologists: job is best method to tackle post-holiday depression

Psychologist Karine Nalchajyan said that there is a concept of post-holiday depression in principle.

However, it should not cover everyone and it is a change in mood rather than depression, Nalchajyan told a press conference in Yerevan on January 11.

“Holidays violate a common life rhythm, which needs to be restored after holidays. People consume their energies during holidays and then feel exhausted, tired. Everyday concerns, practical tasks and job are the best method to return a person into a regular lifestyle” the specialist said.

Psychologist Samvel Khudoyan noted for his part that everyday concerns and job are the most efficient method to tackle a post-holiday depression.

“Active physical lifestyle, athletics and walking are also useful in the struggle against spleen,” the expert said.
