Thomas Hammarberg, human rights commissioner at the Council of Europe, will be in Yerevan between January 18 and 21, to discuss the human rights problems with the Armenian leadership.

Mr. Hammarberg will meet with Armenian President, Justice Minister, Prosecutor General and Police chief as well as with representatives of the ruling coalition and opposition.

Opening of “Andrey Sakharov: anxiety and hope” exhibition at the Armenian Foreign Ministry will be timed to the visit, MFA press office reported.
