Spokesperson for the RA Defense Ministry David Karapetyan said that periodic ceasefire violations by Azerbaijan at the contact line of the NKR and Azerbaijani armed forces indicates that Baku aspires to frustrate a peace resolution of the Karabakh conflict and discounts the OSCE Minsk Group’s efforts.

This is proved also by the last incident, in which two Armenian servicemen were wounded, he said.

“With the bellicose statements and actions at the contact line, the Azerbaijani leadership aggravates tensions and tries to implant enmity in the soldiers. However, attempts to somehow improve the morale are delayed. Azerbaijani soldiers lost the ability of performing a heroic deed long ago,” Karapetyan added.

Two Karabakh servicemen were injured as Azerbaijani soldiers opened fire upon NKR positions on January 14 and 15.
