Hrant Dink’s widow accuses Turkish authorities of premeditated murder

Rakel Dink, the wife of slain Turkish-Armenian journalist Hrant Dink, has filed a petition against 28 people accusing them of premeditated murder and being a member to a terrorist organization.

The list includes Istanbul's former governor Muammer Guler, now head of the newly founded Public Security Undersecretary, as well as former Istanbul police chief Celalettin Cerrah, former Trabzon police chief and former head of police intelligence unit Ramazan Akyurek as well as Trabzon's former gendarmerie commander Ali Oz, Vatan newspaper reported.

The European Court of Human Rights has ruled that Turkey failed to carry out an effective investigation into the killing of the Turkish-Armenian journalist, who was shot dead on January 19, 2007 outside the office of his weekly Agos.
