PIK channel going on air Jan. 25

Kanal PIK, a unique media project in the Caucasus, is going on air on January 25 at 18:00 (Tbilisi time).

An informational, educational and entertainment channel – Kanal PIK will broadcast 6 hours a day (18.00 – 00.00 Moscow time) in Russian from Tbilisi (Georgia) and cover the territory of the South and North Caucasus, Ukraine, Belarus, Eastern Europe, the Russian Federation, Turkey and Iran.

Kanal PIK will be transmitted by satellite Hot Bird @ E13' (transponder: 65, frequency: 12015 MHz, polarization: horizontal (H), S/R: 27500, FEC:3/4), and through www.pik.tv in on-line format.

Kanal PIK aims to shine a light on one of the most fascinating and least understood corners of the world; to make the peoples of the northern and southern Caucasus part of the global information revolution; to provide all Caucasians with fast, accurate, objective and timely information about the events and stories that interest and concern them and to set new standards of journalism in the region.
