South Sudan not precedent for Karabakh, former NKR MP says

South Sudan can’t be a precedent for Nagorno Karabakh, former NKR parliament member said.

“The situation in South Sudan is different, as all conflicting parties agreed to its self-determination,” Gegham Baghdasaryan told a news conference on January 26.

However, according to him, it can be partially viewed as an example, because one more state will appear on the world map.

“There were about 150 countries in the world before the formation of the United Nations Organization. Now, thanks to the right of nations to self-determination, their number has exceeded 200,” Baghdasaryan said.
