Problems with notes of mandatory vehicle insurance no longer exist at Armenia-Georgia border

During the recent meeting of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and his Georgian counterpart Mikheil Saakashvili, an agreement was reached with respect to incidents at the Armenian-Georgian border concerning mandatory vehicle insurance notes, which are attached to windscreens.

The Bureau of Motor Vehicle Insurers of Armenia told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter that now employees of the Georgian customs control do not make car owners to remove the notes from windscreens.

We would like to recall that earlier owners of cars registered in Georgia, who insured their cars in Armenia as per the Armenian law on mandatory vehicle insurance, had been forced by employees of the Georgian customs control to remove the notes upon their return to Georgia.
