Investors from Slovakia, Czech Republic to implement projects in Armenia, Artsakh

A delegation of entrepreneurs from Slovakia, Austria and Czech republic visited Armenia and Artsakh to discuss cooperation with the two Armenian republics.

According to the Forum of Armenian Associations of Europe (FAAE) Ashot Grigoryan, the delegation signed a number of agreements with the governor of the Syunik region of Armenia.

“These mostly refer to construction of hydropower plants in Syunik and Vayots Dzor provinces at the amount of 15 mln euro attracted from the Slovak Export Import Bank for a 10-year term with 5% interest rate. Besides, 15 hydropower plants will be built in NKR,” Grigoryan said.

“Our goal is to secure the economic development of Artsakh,” he added.

For his part, sales manager of ABB Slovak company Miroslav Laincz assured that all energy saving and environment protection rules will be observed while implementing energy projects.
