U.S. ready to further support Armenia-Turkey rapprochement

On February 5, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan met the U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton within the framework of Munich Security Conference.

At the meeting, Armenian President emphasized the importance of the U.S. role in Karabakh conflict settlement, as well as preservation of peace and stability in South Caucasus.

Ms. Clinton, dwelling on normalization of Armenia-Turkey relations, emphasized U.S. readiness to support rapprochement between the two countries.

The parties further focused on development of bilateral relations and expansion of Armenia-U.S. economic ties, presidential press service reported.
