Vodafone has announced that it is to start selling Google's Nexus S smartphone in its stores worldwide.

Apart from the statement the company did not go into specifics, such as whether the handset would be offered just in some Vodafone markets, or if its branding affiliates would also carry the handset.

The handset is being manufactured by Samsung for Google and is based on the latest Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) release operating system, cellular-news.com reported.
