Tigran Sargsyan forecasts fish export doubling in 2011 in Armenia

Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan spoke about perspectives of fish export in 2011 during his visit to one of the fish farms in Armenia’s Ararat region.

As the Prime Minister noted, fish export volume comprised 500 tons in 2010. “This is a serious achievement; however, we have serious reasons for hoping to double the figure in current year,” Sargsyan stressed.

“22 business entities, licensed in Russia, were given a chance to export their products,” the Prime Minister noted, further stressing the importance of bringing fisheries up to necessary food safety standards.
