ARMENIAN GOVERNMENT AND WB SIGNED AN AGREEMENT ON GRANT ALLOCATION FOR ANTI-CORRUPTION PROGRAM ELABORATION
YEREVAN, May 8. /Mediamax/. The Government of Armenia and the World Bank (WB) signed today in Yerevan an agreement on WB grant allocation in the amount of 299.800 USD for the elaboration and realization of Anti-corruption program in Armenia.
As Mediamax was told today in the press service of the cabinet of ministers, Premier Margarian noted that signing this agreement the Government of Armenia realizes the necessity of carrying out operative steps for the complex solution of corruption problems.
U.S. Ambassador in Armenia Michael Lemmon, head of OSCE Office in Yerevan, Ambassador Roy Reeve, WB representative in Armenia Oweis Saadat and permanent representative of UN Development Program, Katitza Cekalovic were present at the ceremony of signing of the agreement.
The meeting of the commission for coordination of works on preparation of Anti-corruption programs was held today under the chairmanship of Prime Minister of Armenia. The supplemented variant of the "Concept of anti-corruption strategy" was considered at the meeting. --0--
