USA IS NOT WORRIED BY STATIONONG OF S-300 COMPLEXES AT RUSSIAN BASE IN ARMENIA
YEREVAN, May 8. /Mediamax/. U.S. State Department spokesman Richard Boucher said at a briefing in Washington that the S-300 missile complex stationed on the Russian military base in Armenia didn't fall within the limiting of the Treaty on Conventional Forces in Europe.
Mediamax was informed today in the press service of the U.S. State Department that Baoucher had said this at a briefing Monday answering the question, whether USA was worried by the fact that the S-300 complexes were stationed nearby Turkish border. "We do monitor the equipment that Russia has at bases in Armenia, including equipment covered by the multilateral agreement limiting conventional forces in the Treaty on Conventional Forces in Europe. The S-300 system is not covered by the treaty and therefore is not subject to reporting requirements," Boucher said. --0--
