Karabakh talks will come to dead end without OSCE MG, expert says

Transferring Karabakh talks to some other format beside OSCE Minsk Group will bring them to a dead end, according to Caucasus Institute Director.

“No other configuration will suit Armenians and Azerbaijanis,” political expert Alexander Iskandaryan told a news conference in Yerevan.

However, as he noted, expecting the Minsk Group to settle the issue instead of conflicting parties would be incorrect. “OSCE MG has 2 tasks: maintaining interaction between the two sides and internationalization of the process,” Iskandaryan explained.
