The problem of frozen conflicts will be in focus of Ukraine during the country’s chairmanship of the OSCE, Ukrainian Foreign Minister said.

“Kyiv will first of all tackle the Transdnistrian conflict,” Konstantyn Hryshchenko said in Yerevan during a joint news conference when responding to a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter’s question.

“We will support the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group for a peaceful resolution of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict,” he said.

Ukraine is a member of GUAM, along with Georgia, Azerbaijan and Moldova. It also supplies Azerbaijan with armament. In its report to the UN Register of Conventional Arms, Ukraine said it sold 29 BTR-70, 29 122-mm 2S1 “Gvozdika” auxiliary artillery, 6 152-mm 2S3 “Akacia” auxiliary artillery, MiG-29UB basic trainer fighter jet and 11 Mi-24 helicopters to Azerbaijan in 2009.
