Bozic tries to justify his defeat by Abraham

Former world champion and Super Six semi-finalist Arthur Abraham successfully returned to the ring in Mülheim, Germany. King Arthur looked good in the 4:01 his fight lasted against WBA #9 super middleweight Stjepan Bozic.

Unfortunately for fight fans, the end wasn’t a highlight reel KO but instead a TKO caused when Bozic suffered an injury to his left hand. After the fight Bozic insisted that he had broken his broken his wrist although x-rays came back negative.

Bozic has now returned to Croatia following the loss. “I’ve heard that a few people think I quit on account of the body shots before, but this isn’t right,” he stated angrily. “I’m a fighter, not an actor. I think everybody saw that I hit Arthur Abraham’s elbow with my left hand and then felt sudden strong pains. This continues to today, so I’m going to a doctor I can trust. He’ll be able to say with certainty whether it’s a joint, tendon or ligament injury.”

The 36-year-old is sure everything will be cleared up. “I’ve been a boxer for 21 years. I’ve already boxed with a broken rib and other injuries. I am a Sportsman. To simply give up in such a way would be out of the question for me. I want to give the fans great fights. Everyone who knows me knows this. I repeat: I’m a fighter, not an actor!” Bozic said, fightnews.com reported.
