The European Youth Olympic Winter Festival is under way in Liberec in the Czech Republic.

Armenia is represented by 10 sportsmen. Figure skater Slavik Hayrapetyan is the fifth among 18 participants after the short program.

Marta Grigoryan is 16th among 26 figure skaters after the short program. Free skating is due January 16, the RA National Olympic Committee said on its website.

Armenia’s biathletes Artyush Mkrtchyan and Gohar Abgaryan, alpine skier Sargis Galstyan, skiers Hrachik Sahakyan, Tadevos Poghosyan, Katya Galstyan and Lilit Tonoyan will enter the competition on February 15.
