Protests in Yemen turned violent on Wednesday, with reports of at least one death. Pro-government protestors were bussed into the capital Sanaa to break up the demonstration now in its sixth day.

Anti-government protestors are calling for President Ali Abdullah Saleh to step down immediately. Saleh, who has ruled for Yemen more than 30 years, stated earlier this month that he would not run for re-election when his term ends in 2013 or pass his power to his son.

Protestors took to the streets in Sanaa, Taiz and southern port town Aden where the death reportedly occurred. Demonstrators in Taiz vowed to set up camp in Safir Square until their demands our met. In a statement to the state news agency Saleh urged protestors to put an end to the demonstrations, neontommy.com reported.
