Turkey can’t be a friendly state or loyal partner to Armenia

Turkey cannot be a friendly state, or a constructive and loyal partner to Armenia, according to the chairman of European Integration NGO.

Commenting on Abdullah Gul’s intention to request his Armenian counterpart to support Turkey’s candidature for OSCE Secretary General, Karen Bekaryan characterized Ankara’s policy towards Armenia as “twofaced.”

“It is through such steps that Turkey’s making a show of wishing to normalize ties with Armenia,” Bekaryan noted. “However, the countries whose representatives witnessed the Armenia-Turkey Protocols signing ceremony in Zurich have already formed negative perception of Turkey for frustrating the rapprochement process,” he stressed.
