Following the security alert issued by the U.S State Department to urge U.S. citizens to refrain from visiting Azerbaijan over a terrorist threat, the U.S. Embassy in Baku advised American entrepreneurs to freeze their business in Azerbaijan and leave it.

As a result of the action, around 20 American families have left Azerbaijan. The evacuation of the U.S. citizens from Azerbaijan is reasoned by the strong belief that the Azerbaijani law enforcers will be unable to ensure security of foreigner in case of an act of terrorism, Pia.az reported.

Earlier, Great Britain, Israel, France, Germany and a range of other countries issued similar security alerts.
