EU believes Russia-Georgia relations should be settled through constructive dialogue

EU’s special envoy to South Caucasus, whose mandate expires on February 28, believes Russia-Georgia relations should be settled through a constructive dialogue.

“A dialogue is the only way to lasting regional stability,” As Peter Semneby stated at a farewell briefing in Georgia, promising EU support to Tbilisi.

“Both parties should compromise to achieve regional peace and stability. EU is ready to contribute to the process in order to bring the parties’ positions closer,” Georgian media quoted Semneby as saying.
