Secret Army for Liberation of Armenia alarmed over upsurge in emigration out of Armenia

The Secret Army for the Liberation of Armenia (ASALA) is concerned over the increased rate of emigration from Armenia.

“The nation’s indifference to the issue poses more danger that Turkish-Azeri genocidal policy,” the letter sent to PanARMENIAN.Net in the name of ASALA stated.

The letter further focuses on current population number in Armenia. “According to scientific research data, in the 21st century Armenian population was supposed to reach 12 million, while today hardly over 2 million reside in Armenia.”

In 1991 ASALA announced about termination of its activates in 1991, when Armenia declared its independence.
