Intensification of talks on Karabakh conflict settlement is expected before the oncoming Azerbaijan-Armenia presidential meeting in Sochi, EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus stated.

At news conference in Baku, Peter Semneby gave high assessment to Russian President Dmitry Medvedev’s efforts to resolve the conflict and reduce tension on both sides. “At the same time, we’re concerned over the threat posed by the arms race in South Caucasus,” Semneby said, urging to intensify efforts aimed at conflict settlement, 1news.az reported.
